The play has 14 scheduled performances at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theater Playhouse from November 5th-15th 2015, and will use 3D videos for the first time in Japan. To enhance the performance, the audience will wear 3D glasses while the actors play their parts against video backdrops. Shutaro Oku, known for the Persona 3 and Persona 4 stage plays, is directing GHOST is ALIVE, written by Junichi Fujisaku of the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex anime, with Tow Ubukata, who worked on scripts and composition for the Ghost in the Shell: ARISE series, on hand as editorial supervisor.
The four remaining costumed cast members – Ren Yagami as Batou, Yutaka Matsuzaki as Borma, Shungo Takasaki as Ibachi and Asami Yoshikawa as Thied – are to be revealed soon.
