News: Namie Amuro and Hatsune Miku collaboration music video posted
The video explores Urban, Game and Fashion-themed settings in a conceptual Neo-Tokyo, and the song was produced by UK artist SOPHIE, who collaborated on Madonna’s new song ‘Bitch I’m Madonna’. It was also co-written by SOPHIE, and Hatsune Miku’s producer Mitchie M.
Shigenori Soejima, the character designer and art director on the Persona 3, Persona 4 and Catherine games, drew visuals for the song, and a ‘making of’ video was released to accompany it, featuring Amuro and Hatsune Miku relaxing and talking together in a candid footage style:
The song was included in Amuro’s 11th album _genic, released this year on June 10th. The album’s title makes reference to the word ‘photogenic’ and the symbol for ‘blank’, symbolising her message to her listeners, “I want you imagine what you like.” At the moment, she is on her 15-city, 44-gig Namie Amuro Livegenic tour, and holding a poll on her website for which artist fans would like to see her collaborate with next.
