News: Tweet announcing My Hero Academia TV anime series deleted

Shonen Jump 2015’s 48th issue included a teaser for a “super super super important announcement” regarding Kōhei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia, to be revealed in issue 49 on November 2nd. But the manga’s official Twitter seems to have jumped the gun with the news of the expected TV anime.

Not long after the untimely tweet shown below was posted, it was deleted by the account.

Viz Media, who run a digital English simulpub of the manga and released the first volume in print on August 4th, describe the series as follows:

Middle school student Izuku Midoriya wants to be a hero more than anything, but he hasn’t got an ounce of power in him. With no chance of ever getting into the prestigious U.A.
