FuRyu’s game based on the Himouto! Umaru-chan anime, called Himouto Ikusei Keikaku (The Himouto Raising Project), has a new preview in the form of a “short version” of the game’s opening video now streaming on the game’s official website.
Featuring the song ‘Fever Natsu Vacation!’ performed by the anime’s main cast, this video follows the promo released in October, which previewed the original story “that can’t be seen anywhere else” and will also be fully voiced by a returning cast from the anime. The game’s title keeps up with the anime’s otaku references, giving a nod to Neon Genesis Evangelion: The Shinji Ikari Raising Project and many other games of its kind, and it’s due for release on PS Vita in Japan on December 3rd.
The regular edition will be selling for 6480 yen, but there will also be a limited edition available for 9980 yen. This edition will come with a box containing extra goodies, including a product code for an original idol costume, four interchangeable art jackets for the game, a bath poster, a drama CD and an exclusive booklet with new art by the manga’s creator Sankaku Head. Anyone who pre-orders the game will also get a product code for an additional costume, “swimsuit Santa”.
