News: Noragami adapted as stage play opening January

Yesterday, Avex Pictures launched a website announcing that Noragami, the manga by Adachitoka, will appear on stage as a new adaptation in January.

The actor starring in the stage play as Yato is Hiroki Suzuki, who has also portrayed Genjo Sanzo in the Saiyuki Kageki-den –God Child– stage play.


The cast members announced alongside Suzuki include:


Keisuke Ueda (Sangaku Manami in the Yowamushi Pedal stage play and also, in a non-anime role, Juliet in Romeo X Juliet) as Yukine


Kasumi Hasegawa as Hiyori Iki


Akaya Ando as Bishamon


Takuma Wada (Kazuya Miyuki in the Ace of Diamonds stage play) as Kazuma


Minami Itohara as Kofuku


Yuuki Tomotsune (Jin Tadokoro in the Yowamushi Pedal stage play alongside Ueda) as Daikoku

Adachitoka has provided the play’s original story, and Naohiro Ise of Peace Maker, Working!! stage plays is both director and scriptwriter for the production. It will open at the AiiA 2.5 Theater Tokyo on January 28th, and run for eight performances ending on the 31st. Presale tickets will be available from November 17th–29th, with standard seats costing 6800 yen, while premium tickets will sell at 9800 yen.
