On its 13th movie and still going strong, the One Piece franchise’s official website has updated fans about the new feature film One Piece Film Gold, sharing its first main visual, main staff and the day to expect it in cinemas in Japan.
The visual includes a tagline which reads “That is the Power to Rule the World”, and displays the release date as July 23rd. As usual, the manga’s original creator Eiichiro Oda is on deck as executive producer, with Hiroaki Miyamoto, the third series director for the One Piece anime, joining as director. Novelist and newcomer to anime writing Tsutomu Kuroiwa, who is known for penning live-action dramas and films such as the 2014 Black Butler movie, has written the script.
All of the main voice cast from the anime are also confirmed to return once again for this latest movie, and anyone eager to nab their seat will be able to buy advance tickets from December 18th.
