Noriyuki Abe, director of The Heroic Legend of Arslan, is leading another RPG-to-TV anime adaptation in Divine Gate, which started life as a smartphone panel game by GungHo Online Entertainment. As the premiere date nears, four character previews have been snipped from the anime’s first episode and uploaded on the multinational, multimedia entertainment company Marvelous’ official YouTube channel. The videos for Akane and Midori are both narrated by Megumi Ogata, known for voicing Shinji Ikari in Neon Genesis Evangelion.

With The Heroic Legend of Arslan’s Studio Pierrot on production, Natsuko Takahashi of Ore Monogatari!! is in charge of series composition, joining with character designer Ichiro Uno of The World Is Still Beautiful, and composer Takumi Ozawa whose past credits include the score of Aria The Scarlet Ammo.
