Considering the waves of fan art and mangaka tributes to Splatoon, it’s no surprise that Nintendo’s bright and bouncy paintballing shooter game is getting its own manga series. Two of them, in fact.

Video gaming mag Famitsu announced Kino Takahashi’s four-panel comic, Honobono Ika 4-Koma, and the second title Splatoon Play Manga, the latter of which is planned to feature various artists translating their own Splatoon gameplay experiences into manga. Although both are confirmed for this year, release dates are yet to be announced, but here’s hoping we’ll see those cute little human-squids make their first official manga appearances soon.
