The official Twitter for the anime adapting Kōhei Horikoshi’s wildly popular manga My Hero Academia announced those long awaited broadcast details for the series on Sunday. It will premiere in Japan in April on MBS/TBS, airing on Sundays at 5:00pm in the hot Nichigo timeslot which is currently showing Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans.
Gundam Build Fighters’ Kenji Nagasaki directs the show at studio BONES, with Gundam Build Fighters writer Yousuke Kuroda in charge of scripts, and Yoshihiko Umakoshi of Berserk on character design. Daiki Yamashita, who starred as Souji Hashiba in Ranpo Kitan: Game of Laplace, is voicing the aspiring hero Izuku Midoriya, and Kenta Miyake, who portrayed Assassination Classroom‘s Akira Takaoka, will play Izuku’s idol All Might.
The show’s other stars are Nobuhiko Okamoto, A Certain Magical Index’s Accelerator, who will be reprising his role as Katsuki Bakugō from an earlier voice comic based on the manga, while Love Live!’s Arisa, Ayane Sakura, voices Ochako Uraraka, and One Punch Man‘s Genos, Kaito Ishikawa, plays Tenya Iida.
