This February’s issue of Shogakukan’s Coro Coro Comics, the home of Hiro Morita’s Beyblade Burst manga since last July, today made the announcement that the latest inheritor to the 15-year line of Beyblade anime will premiere in April. Two of Beyblade Burst’s main characters, the hot-blooded Bart Aoi and elite Blader Shū Kurenai, were put in the spotlight in the issue along with their blades Valkyrie and Spriggan. It was also confirmed that the characters will battle in 3D CG animation.
If you want a look at the guys and their blades, the show’s official website has you covered – it revealed Bart, Valkyrie, Shū and Spriggan’s designs last month.

The first promo trailer for the anime surfaced all the way back in June, released by the original Beyblade makers Takara Tomy and featuring the same two characters, but at the time of writing this PV is unavailable for viewing. We shouldn’t have to wait long for another, as a new promo release is planned for this month.
Inazuma Eleven’s Katsuhito Akiyama is directing the series at OLM (Oriental Light and Magic), the studio responsible for Yōkai Watch and Pokémon, with Danbōru Senki’s animation director Toshiaki Ōhashi in charge of character design, and Hideki Sonoda of the Pokémon franchise writing scripts.
