As part of FUNimation hitting refresh on their service this year, a new partnership has been struck between FUNimation Entertainment, mobile game developers GameSamba and online/mobile game publishers NGames Interactive. So, starting February with the launch of Funimation Now, we can look forward to tapping through adventures with our anime heroes as we watch their shows through the same service.
NGames in China will use its reach across Asia to license and develop brand new titles exclusively for Funimation Now, and already there are plans to create several web and mobile games based on two beloved series, Fairy Tail and Tokyo Ghoul. Still more are yet to be announced, and they’re a long way from running out of hit titles for inspiration. Since they’ve announced their UK launch, which will also take off in February, at the moment we’re hoping we’ll be able to play along when the games are released.
