The third promo for the Attack on Titan game from KOEI Tecmo has broken out and is now streaming on its official website, and in it we’re introduced to the playable character possibilities. Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Jean, Krista, Sasha, Conny, Levi, Hanji, and Erwin all show off their moves, and to top it all off we’re teased with a few seconds of Beast Titan action.
Also appearing in the game as non-playable characters, among others, are Ymir, Reiner, Bertolt, Marco, Keith, Pyxis, Ian, Rico, and the female Titan. And if two Titans aren’t enough of a challenge, the Armoured Titan has its part to play too. But you can be sure you’ll be well-equipped against each foe you face, as the game also offers some original weapons including daggers, and swords emulating traditional Japanese arms.
Set during the Battle of Trost, the game being developed for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PS Vita allows payers free reign of the town and barracks as they pick up quests, meet other characters, gain missions intelligence and upgrade their weapons. Those who buy its first edition in Japan from February 18th will be able to clean up around the place with downloads for an appropriate costume for Levi as well as Eren, and a Feather Duster Blade. For those willing to shell out a little more, the Treasure Box edition will contain the game’s soundtrack, a muffler towel, an Official Survey Record Collection, two sets of Eren, Mikasa, and Levi tin badges, and a download code for Armin’s Attack on Titan: Junior High costume.
Us fans in the US and Europe shouldn’t have to wait too long to play the game ourselves. It’s slated for release in North American and European territories this year, so get excited for that official release date announcement.
