We have no objections to the news that the anime adaptation of the CAPCOM Ace Attorney games will premiere on April 2nd. The series’ official website, as well as announcing this anticipated date, has updated the main visual (pictured below) with the tagline “Sono ‘Shinjitsu’, Igi Ari!” (That “Truth”, Is Objection!).
A-1 Pictures’ Ayumu Watanabe, known for the Doraemon films, will be directing a cast that stars Yuuki Kaji, who voiced Attack on Titan‘s Eren, as Phoenix Wright/Ryūichi Naruhodō, and Puella Magi’s Madoka, Aoi Yūki, as Maya Fey/Mayoi Ayasato. The actors lending their voices to the other beloved characters are as follows:
Masashi Tamaki as Miles Edgeworth/Reiji Mitsurugi
Chie Nakamura (Naruto‘s Sakura) as Mia Fey/Chihiro Ayasato
Masami Iwasaki (Akame ga KILL!‘s Borick) as Dick Gumshoe/Keisuke Itonokogiri
Tooru Nara (Chihayafuru‘s Yūsei Nishida) as Larry Butz/Masashi Yahari
Meanwhile, Atsuhiro Tomioka of Pokémon XY is in charge of series composition, with Hyakko’s Keiko Ōta working on character design and InuYasha’s Kaoru Wada composing the music.
