Want to know what a Rurouni Kenshin adaptation by a bunch of talented women looks like? In that case, you’re in luck, because ticketing company e+ have posted an ad that peeks into the action from the musical theatre troupe Takarazuka Revue’s production, based on Nobuhiro Watsuki’s manga.
The troupe’s top stars Seina Sagiri and Miyu Sakihi lead as Kenshin Himura, assassin of the Meiji Restoration and his love, the fiery kenjutsu swordswoman Kaoru Kamiya. Fūto Nozomi plays Sōzaburō Kanō, an original character who joins the story as Kenshin’s romantic rival, and the cast who perform beside them are:

Sakina Ayakaze as Hajime Saitō
Kanato Tsukishiro as Aoshi Shinomori
Coming from their last Sagiri and Sakihi-starring show, the first ever Lupin III musical which ran from January 1st till February 2nd, this stage play written and directed by Shūichirō Koike opened February 5th at the Takarazuka Grand Theatre in Hyōgo. This run will close on March 14th, but will then move on to Tokyo’s Takarazuka Theatre starting April 1st and ending May 8th.
