The PriPara idols prepare to help Falulu save the sacred idol ground’s sparkle and stop the land from disappearing, in the anime movie PriPara Mi~nna no Akogare Let’s Go PriPari (PriPara Everyone’s Longing Let’s Go PriPari) coming to Japan on March 12th. And as the one month marker’s been broken, the PriPara franchise’s official website has announced that fellow idols SKE48 are performing the film’s theme song, ‘Chicken Line’, which will become this generation of the group’s 19th single in eight months when released on March 30th.
To add some extra sparkle to the announcement, the SKE48 members Akane Takayanagi, Jurina Matsui, and Rara Gotō had a photo (below) released of themselves in costume as the PriPara characters Dorothy, Laala, and Sophy. But as for the film’s stars, the main cast from past anime series and movies have returned to their roles once again, to tell the first completely new story to be featured in a PriPara movie.
Dewi Sukarno (below left), the widow of former Indonesian president Sukarno, joins the cast for her voice acting debut as the film’s original character Ploria Ōkanda, the headmistress of Paprika Private Academy and older sister of Gloria Ōkanda. And the SKE48 girls’ sister group AKB48 also has a member on the team, with Rina Kawaei (below right) playing Mini-Falulu.
The first series and movie’s director Makoto Moriwaka is also coming back to direct at Tatsunoku Productions, with Masafumi Sato as assistant director, and Monster Musume’s Kazuyuki Fudeyasu writing the script. PriPara’s regular character designer Shoji Hara is on the team, while Yoshihiro Otobe also comes back from previous movies as CG director, and Yukio Nagasaki of One Piece Film Z serves as sound director. Avex Pictures released a preview of the cast and crew’s latest creation in the PriPara universe in January, and you can catch it below.
