The Annual Seiyuu Awards have reached their 10th year celebrating the achievements of voice actors across genres and generations. As is now traditional, the six categories of awards will be presented at a ceremony aired by Nippon Cultural Broadcasting, which this year is taking place on March 12th. But for the first time, Daisuki will also be streaming the ceremony to a global audience, so we can all celebrate with beloved and favourite actors from inside and outside anime.
The Seiyuu Awards previously announced a selection of their winners in the Merit, best actor and Special categories. Amongst them were Sachiku Chijimatsu, who portrayed Combattler V’s Kosuke Kita and Nobita’s mother in Doraemon; Showtaro Morikubo, known as Naruto Shippūden’s Shikamaru Nara; Ranma ½’s Kasumi Tendo, Kikuko Inoue and the idol unit AŌP, who have performed theme songs for Ace of Diamond and Osomatsu-san.
