News: The new blader generation Beyblade Burst casts its anime lead

The Beyblade makers Takara Tomy have announced Marina Inoue as the voice actor leading as Bart/Valto Aoi, the hot-headed blader protagonist, in the Beyblade Burst anime based on July 2015’s CoroCoro Comics manga. A fifth grade elementary school kid who dreams of battling in the Beyblade national tournament, Inoue, known as the voice of Attack on Titan’s Armin Arlert, portrays him alongside the main voice cast confirmed as follows:

Junya Enoki (Cardfight!! Vanguard’s Shion Kiba) as Shuu Kurenai
Fumihiro Okabayashi (Inazuma Eleven GO Galaxy’s Ryuuji Kusaka) as Rantaro Kiyama
Tsubasa Yonaga (Free!’s Nagisa Hazuki) as Kensuke Midorikawa


The show’s set to premiere on TV Tokyo on April 4th, and directed by Inazuma Eleven’s Katsuhito Akiyama  at OLM (Oriental Light and Magic), the studio responsible for Yo-Kai Watch and Pokémon. Little Battlers eXperience Wars’ Toshiaki Ouhashi joins in charge of character design, and Hideki Sonoda of the Pokémon franchise writes scripts for the series.
