News: As the Bokumachi manga ends, Young Ace announces a spin-off series

The heartbreaking and wistful time-travel manga by Kei Sanbe which inspired the ERASED anime is getting a spin-off in Kadokawa’s Young Ace magazine, as announced in the mag’s April issue on Friday. The new manga based on the series Boku dake ga Inai Machi, once again written by Sanbe, is roughly titled Boku dake ga Inai Machi Gaiden (Side Story) and will start in the July issue of Young Ace on June 4th.

We shed a tear in farewell to the original manga in today’s issue of Young Ace, and the magazine wishes the series goodbye with a cover (pictured below) dedicated to its art, but it softens the blow to know that this isn’t the end of the story. The eighth and final volume of the manga is scheduled to be published in Japan on May 2nd.
