News: Sailor Moon Crystal previews its Death Busters arc

To celebrate Michiru “Sailor Neptune” Kaiou’s birthday, Sailor Moon’s 20th anniversary Twitter has released the trailer for the Sailor Moon Crystal Death Busters arc for everyone who couldn’t make it to its first episode’s screening at a special event in Tokyo on Sunday. This third season’s opening and ending themes have also been revealed, with singer/songwriter Etsuko Yakushimaru performing the opening ‘In Love With the New Moon’, and a duet from Sailor Uranus and Neptune’s voice actors, Junko Minagawa and Sayaka Ohara, to close called ‘Eternal Eternity’.

The new season and new arc bring with them a new staff line-up, and Junjou Romantica’s Chiaki Kon will take over from Munehisa Sakai as director, with Akira Takahashi of Dokidoki! Precure stepping up to Yukie Sako’s position as character designer. Otherwise all the staff are familiar, with Yuuji Kobayashi still on scripts, Takashi Kurahashi back as art director beside animators Toei Animation, and Yasuharu Takanashi returning as composer with King Records producing the music.
