Two members of Onigiri theme perfomers Starmarie join anime cast in 1st seiyuu roles

We already know that the “Singers of Death” Starmarie will be giving their voices to the world of Onigiri with their opening theme ‘Hime wa Rankiryū☆Goikkō-sama’, but this tale of youkai and their battle against the Kamikui is also two of the band members’ first turn as voice actors. Monya Nakane and Nozomi Kishita (pictured below) will join the stars Aina Suzuki of Love Live! Sunshine!!, Nurse Witch Komugi R’s Eriko Matsui, Love Live!’s Umi Sonoda, Izumi Kitta of WATAMOTE and Natsuko Hara of JK Meshi!, and Nakane, who voices Uzume, isso honoured to be working among such talented actors!”

Just like Mimori as Ibaraki-dōji and Hara as Amaterasu, Kishita has the challenge of voicing a non-human character, but she’s taking it in her stride and simply enjoying the whole experience. “I was filled with such gratitude after our first recording session,” she said. “It still feels like I’m dreaming.” Her fellow actors’ characters – Suzuki’s Shizuka Gozen, Matsui’s Yoshitsune, Ibaraki-dōji, Kitta’s Kaguya, and Amaterasu – have all had their individual visuals released based on the show’s main visual below.
