Update: Fate/Extella game gives us a close-up of the action in first screens

This week’s issue of Kadokawa’s Famitsu includes a four-page feature on the latest Fate universe addition from Marvelous Inc. The Fate/Extella game coming to PlayStation 4 and PS Vita is displayed with shots of what will later become clearer as this new game’s more action-orientated approach, with messages from the franchise creators Kinoko Nasu and Takashi Takeuchi, and an appearance from the Saber class Servant Nero Claudius.

Teasing that the “Servants’ battle enters a new dimension…” following Fate/Extra, alongside Nero Claudius voiced by Sakura Tange, the Caster Tamamo-no-Mae and Saber Alter are both confirmed for the game set on the world of Extella after the Holy Grail War of the Moon. Nasu is working on the scenario with Hikaru Sakurai, beside Arco Wada as character designer, and on his blog Nasu hinted that this is something very much other than a Fate/Extra sequel. He says that while details still need to be kept under wraps, the staff were given free creative reign on this project, which led to them dropping the “Extra 3” title to set the game apart.

Update: The tiny preview images in the above shot of Famitsu‘s spread are now looking much clearer, as the mag have kindly put them online. Below you can see Caster Tamamo-no-Mae and Saber Nero Claudius blown up, as they blow up a few things themselves.

Looks like a Senran Kagura themed Fate game. I hope this comes to the west.
