News: Kiznaiver’s opening and ending themes previewed in new promo trailer

This Saturday, studio TRIGGER shared a new promo video for Kiznaiver on the official website for the anime to be streamed this spring exclusively by Crunchyroll. Although for now the clip on the site is region-locked to Japan, we can still show it to you via the video below. This preview features the series’ opening theme from the previously announced performers Boom Boom Satellites, ‘LAY YOUR HANDS ON ME’, and the ending theme from Sangatsu no Phantasia, ‘Hajimari no Sokudo’.

Hiroshi Kobayashi, an episode director for Tiger & Bunny and Kill la Kill, is taking his first lead directorial role for this show, the name of which is taken from the words “kizuna” (connection) and “naïve”. Mari Okada, who wrote for Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day, is on the team as scriptwriter, and manga artist Shiro Miwa, whose latest work DOGS/BULLETS&CARNAGE has been serialised in Shueisha’s Ultra Jump, provides original character designs. Mai Yoneyma, an assistant chief animation director on Kill la Kill, takes those character designs and adapts them for animation, and Haikyu!!’s Yuki Hayashi is composing the music to complement the art.
