The Japanese publishers Kodansha have released the list of nominees for their 40th annual Manga Awards. The 14 titles across the three categories of Best Shonen Manga, Best Shojo Manga, and Best General Manga have been honoured as below.

Best Shonen Manga

Takaya Kagami and Yamato Yamamoto’s Owari no Seraph (serialised in Shueisha’s Jump SQ.)
Tsuyoshi Yasuda’s DAYS (Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine)
Adachitoka’s Noragami (Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine)
Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia (Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump)

Best Shojo Manga

Makino’s Kurosaki-kun no Iinari ni Nante Naranai (Kodansha’s Bessatsu Friend)
Kanae Hazuki’s  Say “I love you”. (Kodansha’s Dessert)
Minami Mizuno’s Nijiiro Days (Shueisha’s Bessatsu Margaret)  
Akira Hiyoshimaru’s First Love Monster (Kodansha’s ARIA)
Junko’s Kiss Him, Not Me (Kodansha’s Bessatsu Friend)

Best General Manga

Gamon Sakurai’s Ajin – Demi-Human (Kodansha’s good! Afternoon)
Yu Suzunoki’s Konodori (Kodansha’s Morning)
Satoru Noda’s Golden Kamuy (Shueisha’s Young Jump)
Akiko Higashimura’s Tokyo Tarareba Musume (Kodansha’s Kiss)
Kei Sanbe’s Boku dake ga Inai Machi  (Kadokawa’s Young Ace)

Kodansha has also given a Best Children’s Manga award in previous years, but starting last year they blended that category with the Best Shonen and Best Shojo categories instead. The winners of all three awards will be announced on May 12th.
