News: Bananya anime gets its short and sweet first promo

We get to hear Yuki Kaji (a.k.a. Eren from Attack on Titan) do his very best “nya” in the new promo trailer for Bananya. We’ve been waiting for this moment ever since he was announced as the lead, and trust us, it doesn’t disappoint. The anime starring stationery company Q-Lia’s cute banana cat mascot is set to premiere this July, with Kyo Yatate of Sockie’s Frontier Quest directing at TMS Entertainment and Gathering.

Q-Lia have also launched their previously announced crowdfunding campaign to gather funds for the series. It kicked off on March 25th, and as of press time, it’s collected 174,000 yen of its three million yen goal. The campaign will end on June 22nd, giving plenty of time to hit its approx. £19,660 goal. In the meantime, any contributing fans can receive thank you gifts including mugs, charms, badges, body billows, listings in the credits and a mention on an episode card.
