News: Nichijou debuts at #1 on New York Times’ Manga Best Sellers list

Vertical’s English release of Nichijou: My Ordinary Life, the much-adored comedy manga by Keiichi Arawi, hasn’t merely made the New York Times‘ Manga Best Sellers list for April 17th, but debuted right at the top. The newspaper describes the new #1 charting series as “[focusing] on the mundane lives of various characters who reside in a quiet suburban town in Japan”, and it joins Kodansha’s publication of Akiko Higashimura’s Princess Jellyfish entering the list this week at #3.

The full top ten list reads as follows:

1. Nichijou: My Ordinary Life vol. 1 by Keiichi Arawi (Vertical Comics) – 1 week
