News: Star Fox Zero anime short from Attack on Titan studio premieres Wednesday

With the Star Fox Zero streaming event Nintendo Treehouse: Live with Star Fox Zero Star Fox Guard set to go live worldwide on April 20th, Nintendo have released a look at the short anime which will kick off the stream. Production I.G and Attack on Titan‘s WIT Studio teamed up with the Star Fox games’ original creator Shigeru Miyamoto to produce the toon titled Star Fox: The Battle Begins, and you can catch the teaser trailer below to tide you over until the premiere tomorrow, which for us in the UK falls at 10:00pm.

Nintendo first unveiled the Star Fox Zero game at last year’s E3 convention in June, with Miyamoto working alongside designer Takaya Imamura. Coming to the Wii U in Japan on April 21st, with the North American and EU release just behind on April 22nd, Miyamoto made a point of defining it as neither a sequel nor a remake, saying he chose the title “zero” to reflect that fact. Well, for that reason, and also because he happens to like the kanji for “zero”.
