Event: MCM London confirms screening of Gundam: The Origin III

The MCM London Comic Con has confirmed that Gundam: The Origin III Dawn of Rebellion will be landing for its EU premiere at the event. J-culture magazine Neo was first to report that an unspecified Gundam: The Origin episode would screen, and it seemed inherent that it would be the third film, but even so, it’s good to have it officially announced by the convention staff.

Their press release states, “This latest instalment of Sunrise’s flagship franchise follows the young Char and his future comrade Garma Zabi as they enrol at the Zeon military academy and begin the fight for independence against the Earth Federation.” It was also previously reported that the series’ mecha designer Mika Akitaka, alongside producer Osamu Taniguchi, would be appearing as guests, but the con’s press release adds that they will both be “signing autographs for fans and presenting a panel on the Saturday of the Excel London show.”

For another preview of the continued story of young Char and Garma Zabi, check out the English-dubbed trailer below, which was recently posted on the site.
