Hunter x Hunter is back again, and now next up is the new manga volume set for release in Japan this summer. Of course that means the US, hopefully followed by the rest of the west, won’t be far behind with an English edition, and it’s likely we’ll see that start to roll out later this year ahead of the anime resuming. Yoshihiro Togashi has also been lightly, yet firmly making it clear that the last hiatus wasn’t for lackadaisical reasons, as you can see from his comment in Viz’s English edition of Shonen Jump.
But the Dragon Quest rumours have new been replaced by some new thoughts that Naoko Takeuchi might be pitching in with the manga. This image captured by a fan certainly seems to attest to the Sailor Moon author, and Togashi’s wife, lending her hand to some of the series’ art.
While we wait for word from Viz on resuming their run of the Hunter x Hunter volumes, they’ve announced their plans to collect Akira Himekawa’s Legend of Zelda manga in the new Legendary Edition omnibus versions. The complete Ocarina of Time volume is out in the US and Canada on November 1st, with the remaining four two-in-one volumes following on a bimonthly basis, and Viz describe the story as follows:
The battle for Hyrule and the Sacred Realm has begun! A young boy named Link must defeat evil on his long, perilous quest to find the spiritual stones that hold the key to the Triforce, and deliver them to Zelda, princess of the land of Hyrule.
