As expected, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have made a key reveal for the franchise’s 20th anniversary gamesPokémon Sun and Moon. In the latest video partly set in the new Alola region, the games’ western release dates were revealed for November 18th in the US, with Europe’s close behind on November 23rd. We also met the trio of starter Pokémon, Rowlet, Litten and Popplio.

A live-action Japanese short was also posted, telling the story of Shohei, a Japanese elementary schoolboy who takes courage from Pokémon in his new home of Hawaii. Even though he’s still learning English, he makes friends through his love of the games in the video titled ‘Let’s Surpass Ourselves’.

When the new generation arrives on 3DS, the two games will be available worldwide in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Korean and, for the first time throughout the generations, both traditional and simplified Chinese.
