NHK’s official Twitter for the Log Horizon anime, inspired by Mamare Touno’s light novel series, has signed off for the foreseeable future. The account had been quiet since the latter part of last year anyway, but yesterday a post popped up wishing the fans farewell.

Sending thanks to followers for their support, they signed off with a sentiment that will ring a bell for those who saw the raid at the zenith of season two. There’s been no comment one way or the other on whether Touno’s recently received guilty verdict for tax evasion is involved. But at least while he’s on probation, it seems doubtful that he’d want to be in the public eye, through his creations or otherwise. For now, we’ll have to wait for his official decision as to his future career. Meanwhile, the anime’s Twitter expressed the hope to be back someday.
