Kyoto Animation’s official Twitter for the Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions anime took a long break after 2014’s season two finished airing, only briefly checking back in to promote last October/November’s KyoAni & Do fan event. But now they’re dusting off the cobwebs, reawakening their powers and announcing a Nico stream on May 27th with cast members Maaya Uchida, Chinatsu Akasaka, Sumire Uesaka and Azumi Asakura.

Of course, the kickstart has sparked speculation over whether this means a new series, but for the moment there have been no official pointers to suggest this. The latest anime outing based on Nozomi Osaka’s light novels aired in 2014, following the first in 2012 and a 2013 bridge movie in between. Crunchyroll ran simulcasts of the two series, and they provide the summary:

I, Ex-Middle Two Syndrome sufferer (“Chuunibyou”) AKA Yota Togashi and current MTS sufferer Rikka Takanashi, have happily exchanged the vows of truth (we’re going out), and I am enjoying life IRL to the fullest… Or at least, I should be. Yes, I really should be. If it wasn’t for the game-changing appearance of my best friend from my previous middle school, super powerful MTS sufferer Sophia Ring SP Saturn VII AKA Satone Shichimiya! What in the world should I do now?! And thus, the battle of The Devil VS The Evil Eye begins!

I wouldn’t mind another series, as I enjoyed this show. This studio doesn’t like making many seasons though.
