Berserk manga returns to coincide with 38th volume release

After a fairly short six month break in the grand scheme of hiatuses, Kentaro Miura’s fantasy gore-fest Berserk will return in its manga form in Hakusensha’s Young Animal on June 24th. The series will grace the magazine’s cover and open with a colour illustration, and will then continue on a monthly basis, with new chapters being published on the fourth Friday of each month.

This new chapter will coincide with the release of the manga’s 38th volume, before the start of the summer season which brings Berserk‘s new anime. The series was previously announced as premiering on July 1st, with Miura himself is on the team as executive producer, and Shin Itagaki of Teekyu directing at LIDEN FILMS. Chobits’ Hisashi Abe’s character designs were recently previewed as 2D sketches and 3D models, as the countdown to that long-awaited first episode passed the one month mark.
