Blue Exorcist site launches teaser countdown

On point with ticket sales opening for the latest Blue Exorcist stage play, the anime franchise’s website has launched a mystery countdown. Of course, fans have their fingers crossed for a new series or movie, but as ever, there’s the chance that all the hype is for another mobile game or pachinko slot machine.

The ‘Kyoto Guren-hen’ play based on Kazue Kato’s Ao no Exorcist manga will run at the Zepp Blue Theatre Roppongi in Tokyo from August 5th-14th, 2016. The series has also been adapted as two previous stage plays, along with the 2011 TV anime and 2012 anime movie. Crunchyroll streamed the anime for the US, and give its story the following summary:

Assiah, the realm of humans, and Gehenna, the realm of demons. Normally, these two dimensions would never intersect, but the demons are now intruding on the material world.
