Deep Silver take over from NIS as Europe’s Atlus game publishers
European otaku will give a territory-wide sigh of relief to hear that video game titles from Atlus, including Persona 5, now have a publisher for our area. Deep Silver, who also carry Saints Row, Dead Island and the Metro series, take up the task from NIS, who dropped Atlus from their distributions list back in April. They will also pick up select Sega titles which we would otherwise have been bereft of after the break-up, due to Atlus’ merger deal with Sega.
The other titles currently confirmed are Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse and 7th Dragon III Code: VFD. These two and Persona 5 will get physical and digital releases on their corresponding platforms, and further releases from both Atlus and Sega are “in the works”. More detailed release information and dates, as of yet, are still to be confirmed.
Good news, although it sucks that they didn’t give a date for Persona 5 with the announcement.
