Update: Sword Art Online: Hollow Realisation gets English trailer exploring the mysteries of new characters
On June 27th, Bandai Namco unveiled their third trailer for the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita game Sword Art Online: Hollow Realisation. While we meet new characters including Genesis who, like Kirito, is a “black knight”, the video previews combat, equipment customisation, the party creation function including 300 “player characters” and NPCs, and the game’s theme song ‘Windia’ by Luna Haruna.
With the game’s release date confirmed for Japan as October 27th, the Americas and Europe will also get Sword Art Online‘s fourth RPG sometime this fall. The game’s western release will feature the original Japanese voices with English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish subtitles.
In other SAO news, Bandai Namco announced during a Niconico livestream that they will release an iOS and Android game titled Sword Art Online: Memory Defrag. The free-to-play, action side-scroller will launch in Japan this summer, and it will follow both the anime’s story and an original plotline.
The same web broadcast also made the announcement that Kadokawa will be releasing a Sword Art Online magazine, which will contain bonus manga including an adaptation of the Hollow Realisation game. The first volume of the magazine will be published in late October, focusing on the franchise, and running news on the games, anime and original light novels.
Update: Bandai Namco have released an English-subtitled version of the above Japanese trailer for the Sword Art Online: Hollow Realisation game. Now we can better begin to unlock the mysteries of AI Premiere, and take in the new world of Sword Art: Origin.
