News: Eiichiro Oda says One Piece manga’s final panel is already planned

Eiichiro Oda made his first ever TV appearance on July 10th, even though his face was hidden throughout. A couple of weeks later, Fuji TV announcer Daijiro Enami, who interviewed Oda, appeared at a Tokyo premiere event for One Piece Film Gold, the same day they were due to air a longer interview to celebrate the film’s July 23rd opening. There, he shared a snippet of info from their short conversation.

Enami had asked Oda whether One Piece‘s final panel was already planned out, to which he received a definite “yes.” Oda also assured him “it’s very cool.” Their chat fell shortly before Oda stated in a print interview that One Piece is 65% complete, so we probably still have a 13 year wait, if not longer, ahead of us before we can see that “very cool” ending.
