The One Piece anime’s official website has revealed new cast today (July 29th) for the long-anticipated Zou arc which begins this Sunday, July 31st. This upcoming 751st episode follows the July 14th conclusion of the Silver Mine arc, an anime-original tie-in to the story of One Piece Film Gold, which opened in Japan on July 23rd.
The characters pictured above have been cast as follows, from left to right:
Fumiko Orikasa (Bleach‘s Rukia) as Wanda
Kanae Ito (Sword Art Online‘s Yui) as Carrot
Shinichiro Miki (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood‘s Roy Mustang) as Pedro
Ito voiced young Boa Hancock previously in One Piece, and Orikasa played Miss Valentine.
As the anime series embarks on the Zou arc, One Piece Film Gold is showing at a record of 743 screens across Japan. The country wants tourists to get in on the fun too, so selected cinemas in five cities have been showing the film with English and Chinese subtitles right from its opening day. A full-length trailer for the film featuring GLIM SPANKY’S theme song was released in May.
