The latest Yu-Gi-Oh! anime movie The Dark Side of Dimensions is due for theatrical release outside of Japan early next year, and 4K Media are getting a jump on the hype with some nostalgic news. Dan Green and Eric Stuart, the original dub actors for Yugi Muto/Yami Yugi and Seto Kaiba, are reprising their respective roles for the film’s North American release. Producer Shane Guenego said, “We are thrilled to be working once again with Dan and Eric on this current Yu-Gi-Oh! production. They both bring such energy and passion, not to mention a strong history to these roles.”
Described as an “after episode” of the original anime series, the film opened in Japan on April 23rd. Manga creator Kazuki Takahashi returned to his old beloved franchise to write the screenplay and design the film’s original characters, and also took on the role of executive producer, with Satoshi Kuwabara of Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal directing.
