Event: MCM Scotland 2016 hosts Reo Kurosu as guest of honour

At MCM Scotland Comic Con 2016, it’s been announced that the guest of honour will be Reo Kurosu, producer of a little show called Fullmetal Alchemist. He’ll be there meeting fans on both days of the event – Saturday September 24th and Sunday September 25th – and on the Saturday he’ll also present a panel. The event is being held at the SECC (Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre) in Glasgow, and you can book tickets and find all the info you need at the convention’s website.

The convention staff profile Kurosu as follows:

Reo Kurosu began his production career on the Fullmetal Alchemist series, and was an associate producer on 2011’s Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos movie. While at Aniplex from 2004 to 2011, he also produced Studio Bones’ dystopian sci-fi series No. 6, A-1 Pictures’ comedy film Saint Young Men and collaborated with Cartoon Network on Demashitaa! Powerpuff Girls Z.

Kurosu currently works at NBC Universal Entertainment Japan, where he has produced both The Heroic Legend of Arslan and new action drama Berserk, the second TV adaptation of Kentaro Miura’s classic dark fantasy manga.

Kurosu also works as a music producer for various anime series, with credits including Studio Bones mecha show Eureka Seven and the remix CD for the theatrical animation of Taiyo Matsumoto’s Tekkonkinkreet.
