(Spoiler warning for Re:ZERO anime and light novels.)
As volume 9 of Tappei Nagatsuki and Shinichiro Otsuka’s Re:ZERO light novels approaches its September 25th release, the anime’s finale, ‘However, It’s Just a Story’, will broadcast on September 19th. But a rare and interesting thing has happened. As of episode 24, the anime came to the end of all the light novel material made available thus far. And so, with episode 25 out six days before the next light novel volume, the show’s viewers will be seeing the next part of the story ahead of the light novel readers.
The series’ official Twitter picked up on this too, and marked this strange occurrence by revealing two previews of the art, including the cover, for volume 9.
The 25-episode anime, which became a smash for breaking open the tropes of travel to another world, premiered on April 4th. Crunchyroll are streaming the series as it airs in Japan, and they give it the following description:

As he’s lost and confused in a new world where he doesn’t even know left from right, the only person to reach out to him was a beautiful girl with silver hair. Determined to repay her somehow for saving him from his own despair, Subaru agrees to help the girl find something she’s looking for…
