Event: Scotland Loves Anime adds Psycho-Pass movie, extra screenings of A Silent Voice and your name.

If you already know you’re going to the Glasgow Film Theatre for the Scotland Loves Anime festival‘s first stop from October 14th-16th, you can now snag a weekend pass. These passes will cover all scheduled film screenings over all three days, and there are only a limited number available, so get over to the Glasgow Film Theatre’s website where you can purchase them for £53 (or £40 for concessions).

As the original October 22nd Edinburgh screenings of A Silent Voice and your name. have sold out, the festival has added extra screenings of both. A screening of the Psycho-Pass movie, showing on November 1st, has also been added to the Edinburgh leg. The Glasgow schedule still stands as follows:

Friday October 14th

11:00pm – Belladonna of Sadness

Saturday October 15th

1:40pm – Momotaro, Sacred Sailors (includes the Kenzo Masaoka short film The Spider and the Tulip).

4:15pm – Pigtails (a 28-minute animation originally presented as part of a mixed-media production). Introduced by director Yoshimi Itazu, with an in-depth Q&A after the screening.

8:20pm – Kizumonogatari: Parts 1 and 2

Sunday October 16th

12:15pm – The Anthem of the Heart

3:00pm – Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV

5:30pm – Mystery Film. The festival site hints, “It screened in Japan in 2016, it’s a premiere, it’s a film with a relationship to SLA.”

The line-up for the festival’s Edinburgh run, now at the Filmhouse Cinema from October 14th-November 1st, is as follows, with tickets available to purchase via the Filmhouse Cinema website:

8:30pm – The Garden of Words/Voices of a Distant Star (also by Makoto Shinkai)

8:30pm – Princess Arete (2001 film by Sunao Katabuchi, director of Mai Mai Miracle and Black Lagoon)

Friday October 21st

1:00pm – Harmony – Scottish Premiere

3:45pm – Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV

6:20pm – Accel World: Infinite Burst (+ Q&A with Kohei Kawase)

9:00pm – Kizumonogatari: Parts 1 and 2

Saturday October 22nd
