Code Geass voice actor passes away
Voice actor Kazunari Tanaka, renowned for his roles as Keishin Ukai in Haikyu!! and Shinichirou Tamaki in Code Geass, passed away just yesterday. His talent agency Aoni Production announced the sad news on their website today, saying his death aged 49 was due to a hemorrhage in his brain stem.
Tanaka’s broad anime career also brought him to such roles as Gintama‘s Kato Ken, Soul Hunter‘s Kou Hiko, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny‘s Olson White and Majin Bone‘s Kengo Ryuujin. Outside of anime, he can also be heard in games such as Persona 5, voicing Junya Kaneshiro, and JoJo‘s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle as Tamami Kobayashi.
At this tragic time, our thoughts are with his loved ones. We wish them all, and Tanaka himself, peace.
He’ll be missed, he was pretty young and he’ll be really missed. I got really shocked when I saw the news T_T

I know, it’s awful, and so many wonderful anime people were lost with him these past couple of weeks. So sad.
