Event: Manga UK back on stage at MCM London Comic Con

Manga UK will soon be joining the throng of fans and special guests at London’s MCM Comic Con once again from October 28th-30th, bringing the contests, events and merch you love to their official stand and stage. This year, they’re bringing back certain events we couldn’t get enough of last time around, as well as plenty of surprises to make the weekend a memorable one.

Read on for all you need to know in our Manga @ MCM lowdown:

Anime Karaoke was a huge hit back in May, so we’ve brought it back for October con – we’ve upgraded our songlist and now have a whopping 250+ anime theme songs from shows such as Pokemon, Digimon, Naruto and more for you to come around and have a sing-a-long to! Bring your friends, let’s make it an anime sing and dance party!

Our panel this con will take place on our stage at 3pm on the Saturday – we’ll be talking about some of our newest acquisitions and distribution plans and holding a short Q&A – don’t miss it!

If you stop by the stage at 3.30pm on Friday, you’ll catch our In This Corner of the World Mini Showcase where we’ll be showing you our trailers for the film along with a clip! Get an exclusive insight into this highly-anticipated anime masterpiece.

This time, we’re teaming up with the charity Polished Man and painting a nail to raise funds and awareness for the 1 in 5 children who experience sexual and/or physical abuse around the world. Join in and help up us spread the word! #PolishedManga will be running every day from 1pm to 2.30pm, and we’ll have nail artists up on the stage ready to give you an awesome anime nail – just donate what you can to the cause!

On Saturday we’ll be selling tickets for our Polished Manga Raffle, with the prize draw at 2.30pm on the stage. Tickets are £2, and prizes include Naruto movies on blu-ray, a spooky Halloween anime pack and more! All money raised will be donated to the Polished Man cause. Tickets will be available to buy on Saturday morning, from a member of the Manga UK team stationed at a table near the stage.

At 3.30pm on Saturday, we’re putting on a Rooster Teeth Cosplay Showcase with the lovely people at Rooster Teeth UK – whether you’re on Team RWBY, Red, Blue or Lazer we’d love to see what you’ve got! Prizes include a signed Lazer Team poster, Lazer Team on DVD and copies of the new Red vs. Blue: Chorus Trilogy Steelbook. Sign up here to guarantee your slot – be quick though, entries are limited.

The daily anime poll is back again – drop tokens into our special ballot boxes to vote on pressing Halloween questions such as Kyubey or Monokuma?

For Halloween, we’ll also be running Manga Trick or Treat! Our social team Darcy & Fraser will tweet their location over the weekend: find them and spook them (!) to win some stickers and join #TeamManga!

For those who can’t make it to the con, we’ll be giving away some of our Exclusive Manga & Animatsu Goody Bags, so even if you can’t be there with us make sure to keep an eye out on Twitter and Snapchat! (UK only).

Manga’s convention appearances used to be big news as they would announce lots of stuff. It’s a little sad that they are less active these days due to Anime Limited’s growth.

It is a bit, yeah. But then you can’t argue that Anime Ltd aren’t doing great work getting re-releases of classics out for such reasonable prices. It’s not a surprise really.
