Hyper-Japan will be back at London’s Tobacco Dock from November 25th-26th, so the festival has announced two guests in one to kick off the countdown. It’s the power pair Peach-Pit, creators of Shugo Chara! and Rozen Maiden, and more recently known for the character designs in this season’s Trickster anime. The duo will appear during the Friday 25th session at 5:45pm, and again for the Saturday 26th session at 12:45pm.
The festival staff give a short, sweet biography of the artists and their 16-year career:
PEACH-PIT is composed of two artists, Banri Sendo and Shibuko Ebara, who made their professional debut in 2000. As well as being the original creators of 2008’s Shugo Chara! (Childrens’ Division winner of the 32nd Kodansha Manga Awards), they’re also behind other famous manga series like DearS, Rozen Maiden, Vampiress of the Dawn, Wandering Wonder World and Zombie-Loan. As well as their genre-spanning manga work, and working on the anime adaptations of their own series, they’ve also worked as character designers for series such as the now-airing Trickster: Edogawa Rampo ‘Shōnen Tantei-dan’ Yori.
