Nico Nico’s Overlord Youjo Senki Joint Press Conference livestream event announced more details on the compilation film for the Overlord anime just yesterday. Not only will it be a film of two parts – Overlord: Fushisha no Ou (Overlord: The Undead King) opening on February 25th, then Overlord: Shikkoku no Senshi (Overlord: The Dark Warrior) following on March 11th – but they will both add all-new scenes with new characters.

Illustrator so-bin, who works on the light novels with author Kugane Maruyama, created the above visual for the first film. It was also revealed that the band MYTH&ROID, now also of Re:ZERO fame, will return from the anime series to perform new theme music.

Both films will run at Kadokawa Cinema Shinjuku theater and Ikebukuro Cinema Rosa in Tokyo, with other cinemas across Japan also joining in with screenings. Limited advance tickets for the first film will be available from December 3rd, and will come with a Movi-Ticke card and postcards for the initial run. In addition, all showings will be accompanied by a new animated short, Overlord: Ple Ple Pleiades, a spin-off with all the main characters in cute chibi form, as you can coo over above.
