Ash gets WIT Studio cute for new Pokémon movie

Ash may never grow or age, but his appearance does change, in some ways more questionable than others (we say with a side-eye to Sun and Moon’s moustache Ash). A studio change-up in place for next year’s Pokémon movie comes with yet another new look for Pikachu’s best pal, this one pretty easy on the eyes, as you will see in the teaser below.

This is likely because Pokémon’s mainstay studio Oriental Light and Magic (OLM) is teaming up with WIT Studio of Attack on Titan fame. Japan will get to see the full results when it opens in cinemas on July 13th, 2018. But while we wait for international dates, what do you think of this Ash so far?

  1. I kind of like that look for Ash. Hope the rest of the movie looks as good.

  2. Surprisingly I have never seen a single episode of Pokemon. The sheer number of episodes is the reason for that. Maybe if I someday get a sabbatical for a year that may change 😉

How on earth do you manage that?! 😆 It was just so present for both of us all the way through our childhoods, it’s hard to imagine not having seen any of it. But yeah, I wouldn’t ever attempt a catch-up for the same reasons as you, there’s too much other stuff on my to watch list without Pokemon.
