Anime adaption lined up for Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle
Let’s be honest, who doesn’t love napping? It’s probably why we’ve seen so many drowsy anime of late, and now there’s a new adaptation on the way to lull us all to sleep.
It’s been revealed in Shogakukan’s latest Weekly Shonen Sunday manga magazine that Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle (Maojo de Oyasumi) is getting its own anime TV series.
Penned by Kagiji Kumanomata, the comic fantasy manga centres on the captive Princess Syalis in the demon realms… except all she wants to do is sleep. What more do you need to know?
That’s about it as far as details go and, at present, there’s no word on cast, crew or even a release date.
What we do know for certain is that there’s plenty of fodder for the anime to draw from with twelve collected volumes of the manga having been published in Japan to date.
If you’d like to catch up before the series airs, Viz Media has published the English language version.
