Weathering With You beats Oscar blues with new dub clip

Despite the lack of Oscar nominations for Weathering With You, the Makoto Shinkai film is coming overseas as sure as sunshine. The movie opens in North American and UK cinemas on January 17th, and to amp up the hype GKIDS released a new dub promo clip.

The anime has made waves since its July opening in Japan, but didn’t make the final cut for either the animated or international feature categories at the Oscars. No matter though – we otaku will just have to show our love by hitting those cinema screenings where we can.
